Peter Mitchell : Freelance Graphic Designer
The thing about a freelance designer is that you don't get a multi-faceted, on staff team of experts with back-up to the armpits, plus expense accounts, and invoices to match.
What I can offer is a guy who, over the years, can name drop clients like TDK (UK), Philips Medical, Placer Dome, Pivotal together with many less prominent and much smaller clients. I might be freelance but I'm not a one-man-band. When I need a copywriter, photographer, a programer or a printer I have people to call.
My job as a designer is to help you communicate. It might be to project a first class corporate image to the great public at large, to design a brochure that makes your product look the best on the market, create a package that says "Buy me!" or some assembly instructions that clear the mist. I like to become a sort of part time team member, and I like to be around for the long haul. I'm quite used working with clients for 10 or 20 years.
I trained and worked in London, where for many years I ran my own design and print company. Now I'm based in Langley, near Vancouver, with clients from New York to Seattle and all over the Lower Mainland.
